I was driving home. Had been having idle issues...
heard two loud bangs then engine died. No smoke.
No oil. No codes. Nothing. Won't start. Will crank
but not start. Is it my timing chain? Or is she
blown? I have the 360.

Loud bangs. Did you throw a rod through the side of the block?
No. Block is good. Had it towed to shop. Checked compression. All good. Sounds good when it cranks.. but no spark. Coil is good. Replaced crank timing sensor. Still nothing. Any thoughts?
Soooo. .. turns out that the wire from coil was shot. Replaced and she's alive!! Haha loud bangs that I heard where my cat. Soo new question. I know you can't cut it open and take out cat or cut out and strait pipe the gap. Has anyone here done this?? If so, what do I do about the up/down flow sensort etc? I'm a welder, and in the 13 years in the trade I have never done this... surprisingly. Lol But I don't do much automotive work.
