Will an interior wiring harness from a 1999 dodge
ram 1500 with a 5.9l work on a 2001 dodge ram
1500 5.9l. My dash on passanger side went up in
flames and and I have to replace wiring, heaters
fan and any ducting that has been damaged. That
k you in advance. Oh both trucks are 4x4

Maybe, maybe not but if there are any differences you will rue the day you tried using the old harness.
There are too many variables to say whether it would or not. Even minute differences between model years can result in incompatible wiring harnesses. You could have the same year & model wiring harness and there might still be differences based on options each truck had. Best to compare them side-by-side first, although having one crispy-fried might make that impossible.
some will ..things like the rear plug on the heater contrll switch im sure is different..or close...problem is close wont plug in but if you have any skills you could match up/splice some wires...a wiring dia.can be found on line..do one at a time if the right side has any lenght left on eah wire then repair/add/extend the WIRE wire/s..SOLDER AND HEAT SHRINK IS THE KEY... ALSO THATTRUCK IS VERY COMMON...LOOK ON LINE/JUNK YARDS/EBAY..

Thank you everyone. I know it is gonna be a big job but the truck Jas 90,000 miles on it and is straight.
