I want to change out the transmission for one with
4x4. It has a 4x4 light in the dash but the factory
just put a 4x2 transmission in my 2001 dodge ram.
I've found transmissions that'll work on my 5.9 but
do i have to change out cpus or anything else?

You do realize that you will need the transfer case, front drive shaft and all the differential parts for the front drive axle to make it all work don't you?
Yes i do. Its gonna be alot of work and a decent chunk of change
No. Its my first vehicle. I already have a tacoma with 4x4. This truck though is what im gonna learn on. Ya know. Im one of those kids who dont have a father so im learning everything myself. Ive changed the water pump, harmonic balancer, and fuel pump. I didnt even drop the tank for my fuel pump i just lifted the bed. So either give me advice. Or fuck off
