Asked by Mark May 06, 2017 at 12:34 AM about the 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck died while driving one day and can't
get it to start. Code 1389 comes up for the
ASD relay. Replaced crank shaft sensor,
coolant temp sensor, distributor cap and
rotor, coil, and starter. Fuel pump works
when I turn the key to on but there isn't
much pressure in the fuel rails. No spark
either.

Just to help anyone that can answer. I've checked power to fuses. Fuel pump relay has power when the key is on. ASD relay doesn't have power whether the key is on or not.

The ground from the pcm to the ASD relay does work but no power.

With your key turned to the on position. Go push on your pcm 3rd coneector. The one closest to the motor. Listen to see if the fuel pump kicks on
