Sounds like your switch for cruise control may be bad. If the bulb is illuminating, the circuit is good - so not a fuse. You may also have a problem with the clockspring in the steering wheel, or with the wiring for the cruise buttons. Have this checked by a dealership.
I had a similar problem twice. I had to replace a vacuum hose that runs from the right side of the engine across the front and then under the battery pan. Find that hose and inspect it along its length. The first time I repaired it with a small kit from an auto parts store. The second time I replace the entire hose. This was not expensive - under $10.00. The local Dodge dealer ordered it for me since I was unable to find it at any auto parts store. The hose was specialized for form, fit and function.
Hey yeroled did you get this problem fixed? What was wrong because I have the exact same issue?
Cruise control fuse on 2015 Dodge Ram gas is F-82, 10 amp(red) in fuse box next to battery
The light comes on but won't engage
I get no light, nothing when hitting the button. My light, isnt a light, its in the smart screen? So not sure what to look for.....if i could get a wire schem, or a pin out out steering column plug, i could TS the switch itself.
Same problem light switch won't turn on and horn won't work

I have an 0459 Cummins cruise control works going it resume or trying to accelerate while in Cruise it drops out and does not come back how to fix
Check ALL THREE BRAKE LIGHTS. If one bulb, usually the bed brake light, is out, the CC won’t work.
