Sold the used transmission from my 2002
dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.9 liter auto trans .
Truck was ran and drove fine till en
gine blew head gasket . Now the guy that
bought trans says he found 2 large chunks
of slender steel pieces a couple inches long
stuck to magnet which i believe is a lie. He
sent me a pic

looks like pieces of a broken retainer ring for 1 of the 2 clutch packs, which is feasible. BTW, the tranny could loose pieces of these rings n still run properly, yet her days were/are limited. Which, I believe, is what you mite be asking.

its the clip that keeps clutch pack in clutch pack housing with the sun gears I d have to say. ? anybody else?
