2002 Dodge Ram 1500 - Clacking noise on acceleration or load

I just purchased a 2002 Dodge Ram which makes a clicking or clacking noise
almost all the time.  It seems to run fine, but the noise gets louder under load
or acceleration.  It was a sudden thing and the truck has not been run much
since.  Looking for Recommendations on how to proceed.

Things I've looked into:
       Flushing the engine, using a engine cleaner, and using 5w-40 oil.
       Checking the exhaust manifolds for loose or broken bolts.
       
New valves about 11000km ago.
