Antitheft 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT

Asked by Sherri Mar 19, 2021 at 06:28 PM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Antitheft was activated.
I've tried leaving it in on for 10 min
turning off then starting.
Tried leaving neg cable off for hour.
Tried unlocking driver and passenger
manually 3xs and holding 30 sec.

It does start ans drive..just horn and
lights flash.
I pulled fuse to horn, but kinda need it
to stop doing this.
Is there a way to rewire it and bypass
antitheft?
Resetting it?
I do not have a keyless entry. Bought
from private owner.
Need help.

Thanks. I called a locksmith and he said he needed to program a key. So, I went to Autozone and got one. It worked. I had already gone to a dealer and they acted like it was a huge burden to make a keyless remote..it literally took 12 seconds once I opened package. Idk why Dodge would jerk me around like that
