A/C issue

Asked by Lindsay Aug 14, 2018 at 03:36 PM about the 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can turn my AC on in the
truck on any setting and it
works and then after a
little while it just slows
down to where it's barely
blowing any air even on
high it's still cool but it is
not enough to keep you
cool.  Sometimes shutting
it off for a little while and
turning it back on will
work but not all the time
and I have noticed no ice
anywhere under the hood
any suggestions for I am
out of town and hot

Sounds like a blower motor resistor starting to go.

I appreciate the info. I'll go buy one and get to working on changing it. Thanka so much

I went to change the AC blower motor resistor and noticed that there is condensation on part of the plastic housing. Is this a common occurrence with resistor going out also?
