Put a fuel pressure gauge on it before you start it.See if it has fuel pressure as soon as key is turned on. The check valve in the fuel pump may be bad and letting the gas bleed back into the tank.

It could also be injectors leaking off. Push throttle all the way to the floor and see if starts better. I had a 2002 4.7 doing the same thing,it was worse when hot and sat for awhile. 2 injectors were bad.

I have the same thing with my 2006 5.7 1500 MegaCab.. And it starts when i push the gas to the floor.. @Zeak is it hurting my truck if i have not got my injectors looked at? I just dont have the money at this time to get it fixed.. Thanks..

Yes it can hurt the truck,it washs the cylinder walls dry with fuel thats not burnt. I would get it looked at as soon as you get some funds. A dealer told me I needed all 8 and was going to cost $1200. I went to a small time shop,he checked them and only 2 were bad and replaced at $325. This fellow had worked at a Dodge dealership as a mechanic.
