Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am trying to replace the positive battery cable on my 03 dodge ram 1500.  I cannot
get to the end (starter) portion of the cable to inspect it, let alone try to undo it so I
can replace it.  ANYBODY out there have instructions on how I access the end of the
cable so I can replace it?  I am going out of my head and cannot seem to figure out
how to access that on my truck.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and assistance!!

there is no shortcut- you must get a light under there, see the nut on the starter terminal and get it off, any way you can- if there are removable components or wires that you can take off to make the access easier, do it- this is the problem with working on automobiles- some are easier than others- and why a good mechanic gets paid well-

Your going to have to take the starter off to access that nut.
