Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 slt 4*4 off-road 5.7 165k Hemi and it wants to die at stops. I can be driving at low speed and press on the gas and it will surge the rpm when barely pressed speed around 30 mph or so. It will lop its idle sometimes when first started like its starving for fuel then it will mellow out again. When I put it in reverse the rpm drops to 400 or less and back to drive usually while turning the wheel it will almost die then surge and run fine. It's worse when reversing up a incline. No codes present once had a o2 come up and went away which prompted the purchase of 2 new ones.
New throttle body, IAT, Spark plugs, clean and free PCV valve, K/N air filter , new downstream 02 up stream is stuck going to weld in another soon,.
Coils? Transmission sensor? Fuel pump? Fuel filter ? Gas cap ? Reprogram ECU or transmission ? TSB covering this ? It's got to be something easy . HELP

Make sure you don't have any cylinder misfire. start by either disconnecting the coil plugs one at a time and watch or hear for engine rpm change or disconnecting the injectors one at a time and listen for the same thing. If all checks out, Check compression on the cylinders one at a time as well make sure they all have good compression. If one or more cylinders read low. Take valve cover off and check if any of the valve rockers are off. If it was you could pop them back by aligning rocker on the valve stem end tip and lifter sliding in forward direction from lifter to valve and make sure you don't scratch any delicate surfaces that's if you don't have the special tool. Make sure your cam lobe is turned away from the rocker.

Please remember that if any of the rocker are off then use this tool but you can use a flt head instead and being carful. Miller / Mopar Tools 8516A Valve Spring Compressor

Just to add. on my 4.7 check engine didn't turn on until i floored it. If it is misfiring a lot of time check engine light doesn't turn on. Good luck.
