8 speed transmission

I have a 04 ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi. I am wondering if
it is possible to mate dodges' new 8 speed tranny to my
04 5.7?

I doubt it would be worth the trouble even if it is possible. The 8 speed is computer controlled and your trucks ECU will not talk to a new 8 speed.

I figured. The reason I asked was because I tow trailers often and figured if I could it would be a good option for more efficiency. Do you guys know of any tuners that would be a good fit?
