Here is another one for you Ac Gurus. I have a 2004 Ram 1500 4.7L Quad Cab. the issue I'm having is when I turn the Ac or Heater on I get no power to the blower motor even though the Ac compressor engages and freezes in the hood. The funny part is sometimes when I turn the ignition off and the blower switch is still on I get power to the blower and it works fine on all speed setting. My Mechanic said that it was the switch so I installed a new one today same issue only gets power to the blower motor if I play with the key in the ignition off position. Could this be a faulty Ignition Switch? What's your input? Thanks in advance for your help.

i would start testing wires on the ignition switch to make sure your not powering any accessory wires while the key is off. if that turns out fine i would trace the wires back and see if you have a short to ground on the power side of the blower fan circuit
