Ignition problems '04 Dodge Ram

Asked by murderbear Mar 17, 2018 at 09:37 PM about the 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the head gaskets on my 2004 Dodge Ram 4.7L SOHC. At start
up, it fired off for 2 seconds and died. Now cranks and won't start. Replaced
crankcase sensor because it had oil in the plug, but the old one tested good.
Cam position sensor tested good. Tested all coil packs (COP) and replaced
plugs. Plenty of pressure on the fuel rail and I can smell the fuel in the
tailpipe. Checked ASD and ECM relays and power supply. Can't think of
anything else to test. I have checked many posts with a similar problem, but
no one has found an answer yet. No codes.
