2005 dodge ram 1500 running terrible but there's no check engine light

Running terrible can mean a lot of things. I would check fuel filter, injectors, O2 sensors, air filters, spark plugs. Have you done any maintenance recently that required you to do anything with the timing? Sometimes these components won't always throw an error.
