Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have the hemi, and every now and then when i go to shift from park to any other gear the shifter locks up and the only way to get it to work is to shut the truck off let itsit for 2-5 minutes then try again, sometimes 2 or 3 times. anyone else have this problem?

it sounds like the lockout isnt working correctly. When you have the key on, can you hear a clicking noise anywhere there in the dash area when you hit the break. It might be easier to hear it if you put your ear down by the pedals too.

My 2015 Ram wouldn't go into drive 4 times in one day last week. Foot on brake put into drive and I heard a clunk. Went into reverse no problem. Waited, turnoff truck opened door restarted , nothing. about 15-20 seconds later worked no problem.
