Transmission issue automatic dodge ram 1500 2005 hemi
Hi i got a 2005 dodge ram automatic 1500 hemi
and last time i had a drive in the mountain
something went wrong. I was going up a hill maybe
around 35%-40% and then the truck stopped
advancing. Truck was running but just rev was
going up truck wasnt moving. Had a small amount
of oil that came up on the ground as well. 2x4 or
4x4 nothing was working. I checked the engine oil
amd tranny oil lvl and everything was fine. I then
had it tow to my place and did more investigation
to the problem. I got bunch of codes for it that i
looked up on internet as well. P0841 p0700 p0733
I did try it again amd the truck is moving lik nothing
has happened, starting from 1st gear then shifting
2md then 3rd,drive then reverse.Now i did further
investigation and found out that the tranny dipstick
is inside an dipstick holder that is connected and
sealed to tranny oil pan but there is that little piece
holding the dipstick and dipstick holder that is
broken, that one is screw directly on the tranny oil
pan. So i opened the pan and empty the fluid.
Gonna replace the fluid, filter, gasket and then that
part holding the stick in place. My though are the
clutch had some air bubble going to it since i was
on a steep hill and then the pressure of hot oil did
break that part and oil get out by there. Question is
why without fixing anything the truck started to
move like nothing happened? Do i will need new
tranny soon or maybe some clutch?
