2005 dodge pick up with hemi

My truck when you get to a stop light and go to
take off sometimes it will die start right up and
some times it will lunge then die I'm stumped

Idle control valve could need cleaning or replaced. If the vehicle downshifts a little hard coming to a stop..Second guess catalytic converter
