Got knocking noise from air con. compressor when engine running. Took belt off to see if pulley would still turn which it turn fine but didn't hear much after turn pulley by hand. Help!

I got a 2005 dodge ram 1500 4.7engine mag. There a knocking sound coming from air con. compressor. I'm thinking its the bearing,but when I took belt off the pulley seem to fill just fine.
