scan for codes and get the definitions , if the scanner can't connect it may be a bad ECM . cranking/turning over are the same thing , starting is something else , what does it do ?

Once it turns over i have to immediately press on the gas once so it doesnt die, and then the truck idles between 1,000 to 2,000 by itself. When your driving you only go 10mph and you dont even have to use the gas pedal. It practically drives itself. But you have to floor the brake because of the idling.
