My intermittent wipers do not wok on intermittent setting, my wipers only work on regular & fast speed.

Asked by Jeff Oct 10, 2013 at 09:14 PM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I engage the on switch for the intermittent wipers, the timer for the intermittent does
not work, my wipers only work when you turn the knob to regular or fast. And if I try the
intermittent wipers, I can try them but they not stop when i turn of the wipers.

multifunction switch is going bad or the timer not sure where that timerer is located. Plus make sure the wiper motor has a good ground

Replace the motor on the dodge ram 1500,2500. Usually takes care of the problem totally. About a 100.00 fix and comes with the motor and the arms attached. Easy half hour fix.

About $100? Is it possible to find these for about 100 somewhere still?

Forget about the wiper motor. for a year I dealt with this problem. changed wiper motor, changed turn signal control knob. Then I found out by accident that 1500 thru 3500 dodges have there own intermittent wiper module located to the right of steering column below inst.panal and on some model behind glove box. Part# 4303-104. You have to get part thru salvage yard. It is about 3"x4". they are about 25.00/30.00 bucks. good luck
