my brake lights dont shut off when engine is off and key out of ignition its a 1500 quad cab 4x4 but if i lift up on brake pedal they go off. is it a bad switch or is there an adjustment i can do?

When I turn my key I can hear my fuel pump kick in and when I am on the gas it is fine but when I let off of the gas the truck wants to die so I took off my gas cap and there is a whining noise 1 Answer

The lights stay on in my 1996 dodge ram 1500 when the ignition is off and the light switch is off too. There is no key in the ignitiion either.

Trying to determine if my 2004 Ram 1500 Qd cab 4wd 4.7 Liter automatic transmission is 46RE, 47RE, or 48RE so I can determine the band adjustment? Also I have never done a Band adjustment before and wonder if I should take it to a qualified Dodge mechanic, which however I do not trust dealers & most mechanics?Are the specs for band adjustment in Chilton trustworthy?Thank you for any reply I may be granted...I can turn wrenches :) 2 Answers

Was starting just fine until I filled it up with fuel, now I have to put foot on accelerator to start it, and it wants to die when i remove my foot, i finally got it to idle, left it running for abo...
