Sounds like the upper and lower control arm bushings needs some lubricant spray WD40 around and into bushings also maybe ball joints need greasing.
Where are the step bars mounted? Many mount to the body mount. there is not a lot of room there, and if the bracket is not properly positioned, it will rub the frame and cause a similar noise.
No that is not the answer I believe the answer is your upper strut mount usually it happens when the strut bolt It’s not tight enough I am having the same problem took my to The dealer and they did not did a good job it was under warranty I’ve been working at Cars Since I was 13 years old I am not a certified mechanic but I know a lot about cars you need to check your upper strut mount and strut to see if it’s still good and if They they are make sure you compress the coil springs down enough to where you can tighten the upper strut bolts to the mount to torque specs And after tiny more quarter turn for half turn more. you may have to replace parts if they look worn. Use Loctite For now I would let the dealer deal with my vehicle since it’s still under warranty but I won’t have to tell them what to do like I always do I would recommend you to get a better quality strut mount than the original part that truck comes with
Squeaky front end...replaced lower ball joint and control arm/upper ball joint assembly. Greased the hell outta everything and still squeaky. Tie rod good (in n outl) Im gonna lose my mind.
The front end of my 1500 squeaks over every little dip or bump I heard a lot about lubricating bushings and greasing ball joints is WD40 the best lubricant to use and what kind of grease to use on ball joints

I had issue with top shock mount on 1500 after replacing with Bilstein. I didn’t get the top nut tight enough. After 2+ years it wore out the washer and punched through mounting hole. Replaced shock and mount, made sure to get it properly seated and torqued this time. Lesson learned.
