Truck won't stay started after radiator cap left off

Asked by Tiffany Sep 02, 2019 at 04:04 PM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Quad Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I Forgot To Replace Radiator Cap Last Night And
Drove Apx. 10 Miles. Drove Fine, No Warning Lights
Or Anything. Then Came To A Red Light And it Died
And Wouldn't Restart. Pulled It Home, Replaced
Fluids, And It Won't Stay Started Now. Any Ideas
What I Should Do Now?

1 Answer

Fill it up with 50/50 coolant and reinstall the cap but if you severely overheated the engine there may be damage.
