hard start, idle surge

Asked by Guru97HCXW Feb 22, 2023 at 11:42 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 ST Quad Cab RWD

Question type: General

I have a 2016 ram 5.7. I have replaced the crank and cam sensors and the
EGR. I did them one at a time. Now I have the hard start issue sounds like
no gas getting to the motor. I push the gas pedal and it cranks over and idles
smooth for a while and surges when warmed up.
Now the scanner is showing reprogram PCM. Any other suggestions? I am
tired of chasing one code after the other.

Did you use genuine Chrysler replacement parts? If you used aftermarkets that maybe your problem. I learned that the hard way. Chrysler and aftermarket parts do not mix well.
