Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 06 Dodge Ram 3.7 v6 and a rod shot and I
want to switch it out for either a 5.7 hemi or 4.7 v8.
So with replacing the motor what else would I have
to swap out to make everything smooth and
operating

The cheapest easiest fix is swapping in a like size engine and go on your way. That alone will be be costing you a few grand if you have a shop do it. Updating to a bigger engine is more involved and usually requires you purchase the engine, mounts, wiring harness, transmission, new ECM, exhaust, and driveshaft. Other things that might be needed are upgraded brakes, radiator, rear end diff and other driveline parts. Unless you swap engines for a living, it's far more economical to just purchase a new truck with a bigger engine
Buy a donor truck so you have everything you need. I would buy the donor truck and drive it and sell yours ;)
