Where is the speedometer sensor loacted on a 1998 Dodge, 2500, cummings diesel located?

My speedometer quit working, then worked and now is is not working again. Is the sensor the culprit and where is it located on my vehicle?

should be on the side of your transmission, I think its a 2 prong plug.

speed sensor is on the rear axle

I know there is one on the axle but I think that one is for your ABS.

my 2003 dodge ram 3500 cummings speedometer stopped working. No lights on or codes flashing. I think its the speed sensor on the rear axle. Anybody have any ideas
