how do u get sound out of the stock t.v. vhs player

I've got the same problem with same car and video cassette player. Very weird that it isn't more obvious.

Turn off the radio up front, when the screen displays video, make sure the power button on the screens console is not on. When it is on, you are powering the headphones. When the power button is off you are using the built in speakers.

I have a 1999 chevrolet suburban i just bought yesterday and i had bought vhs movies today and i dont know if it works or not
