P0216 Code on 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins

Installed a new injector pump but after 50 miles (for which it ran great), it began acting sluggishly with poor acceleration and pedal response, with occasional white smoke. Is throwing Code P0216 and what I've read only indicates this is due to low fuel pressure. Have a raptor pump putting out 18 psig @ idle and 15 at full throttle, so pump appears to have adequate supply pressure. Gauge sensor is installed after the filter, just before the injector pump. I've also installed a new cam sensor. Anyone know of other causes for the P0216 code & lack of pedal response ? Possible computer issues ?

Hello srwilkinson, I've got the same issue please share how you resolve it. I've got a new pump and injectors. I haven't done anything with he lift pump I replaced it 5 month ago. I bought on a NAPA for 140 dollars with a lifetime warranty and I change it every year and haven';t had any issues. I probably should install a fuel pressure gauge. I've got 475 thousand on the truck and my first pump went out at 375.
