Oil type and amount for a 2003 2500 dodge ram diesel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sorry for the stupid question but I am not mechanically inclined at all.  What
type of oil (not necessarily the brand but weight) should I use and about how
many quarts should it take?  Thank you..

Use a motor oil that is specifically for diesels. Check your owners manual but I believe you need 15W-40 diesel motor oil.
