2004 dodge 2500 slt qhad cab 5.7l hemi,takes a while for heater to blow hot,i just had coolant flushed ,

temp gauge allmost red lines with heat then goes back down to unde normal temp
blowing cold ,then starts to heat normaly,i noticed when i step on the gas it produces
hotter air

well of course...that coolant takes some time to heat up to where the thermostat opens up and the heater core is circulated with coolant...perhaps your t-stat is stuck open...that'd do it~

you could check the temperature at the inlet...in the middle and a the exit to see if the radiator is doing it's job...replace the clogged radiator~

you know I've bought one of these themo-spot guns...and not only does it tell the temperature...it's backlight with a blue LED...hasn't got an OFF button...kinda bothers me, but my kitty cats chase it like it's cocaine~
