2000 chevy blazer

My truck switched itself into 4 LO while I was driving it today. The 4WD isn't
even hooked up. but, it wouldn't switch into 2 hi. I drove it home about a mile,
and it has switched into 2 hi but, it acts like it is revving really high to go really
slow...what could this mean?

The computer is telling it to shift into towing mode(higher rpms/slower speed) to compensate for extra weight
