2000 Blazer will not engage front differential.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have changed the vacuum switch on transfer case, vacuum lines, 4 wheel drive actuator and cable. The actuator pulls the pin but does not engage all the way. Is there an adjustment? I don't notice one.

There is a piece in the front end the actuator pulls and they break. I had a 2000 with the same problem.

Thanks. I can finish pulling it in by hand. Its as if I need to adjust length of cable. I am trying not to have to use after market cable to interior.

Check the vacuum hoses for cracks. They might be dry-rotted and leaking. This happened to my 1999.

Thank you for all the input. All vacuum lines have been changed and hooked up correctly. I don't think the pin, in the front diff, is broken because I can pull the cable and engage by hand. It just appears that the cable may be too long or some type of adjustment is needed.
