Won't fire

Asked by Chris838428 Dec 20, 2017 at 12:06 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had to replace lower intake gaskets on a 2000
Chevy blazer v6 4x4. I got everything put back
together, but now it will not fire. It will crank over n
back fire every now n then but will not start. What
could be causing this? I do hear fuel pump
engaging as well

Backfiring tells me that the timing is off. Did you mix up the spark plug wires?

I had marked each wire that way I wouldn't mix then up but will dbl check. A buddy told me that it has to self time n to keep starting it
