Do i need a 2500 or 3500 to pull a trailer

Asked by Tom_Gorham60 Aug 11, 2015 at 12:06 AM about the 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 SLT Mega Cab RWD

Question type: General

I have a 32 foot travel trailer. I want to get a Ram with a 5.9 L in it to pull the trailer. The
trailer is about 10000 lbs loaded. The terrain for towing around Calgary is flat, hills and the
mountains. What should i get a 2500 or a 3500 Ram.

Always a bigger truck is nicer all around for towing, but the 5.9 L Ram should be plenty for hauling this weight.
