2000 Blazer will idle but if it is given gas it dies if you can finally get it to move it will keep running till it shifts gears or goes up a hill and it loses speed then eventually dies.

Asked by Robin Jun 09, 2015 at 03:28 AM about the 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It was hooked to a computer and he
said to change fuel pump was lacking
a little fuel pressure. I did and it didn't
fix the blazer. So I hooked it up to a
bigger size computer at a different
shop and they said computer was bad
. Said fuel pressure was now good
even when it died said sensors where
good and injectors. But I replaced the
computer and fuel filter because it
was clogged also and those two didn't
fix the issue either it still dies what
could be wrong?

A lot of people seem to forget to clean that trap door inside that throttle body you take that thing out sometimes and clean it with a toothbrush..I’ve solved a lot of rough idling, stuttering and things like that, that trap door needs to be able to shut tight..
