Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My nephew purchased a 2000 cavalier that someone put a 1997 engine in.
I know I will have to change the ECM because they are different but are the injectors the same internally?

The ECM is different. They work from 97-99. 00 -01 are the same. The injector problem is that 97 injectors won't plug in to a 00 harness. That is why I needed to know if they are different and what the difference is. The only solution I have is find a 97 harness and solder and heat shrink the connectors to the injectors. CLUSTER XOXO
