2000 Chevy Cavalier running HOT! Replaced thermostat and fan motor. No coolant leaking. Could this be the water pump?

2000 Chevy Cavalier running HOT!
Replaced thermostat and fan motor.
Car cools while driving. No coolant
leaking. Jug is full. I have to turn the
car off in traffic and at stop lights.
Only gets hot while idling. I'm
thinking water pump or bad head
gasket.

Best guys are @ Les Schwab. Probably a bad connection, could be head gasket or a simple problem to fix like a water pump. That should solve the problem.

Hello I have a 2001 chevy cavalier and yesterday morning I tried to start my car and turned over the key and it did absolutely nothing. There was no clicking or winding noises only noise I heard was my fuel pump kicking on. All my lights are working normal and so is my radio.
