You need an OBD II code reader to plug into the diagnostics port to get the engine codes. You can buy one at an auto parts store for under a hundred dollars.
i rented one from auto zone wouldnt do anything auto zone said its not the reader its my car.my car wont start but it will come on all the lights and such.it overheated once or twice before it shut down but it was running fine at the time then just wouldnt start again i can hear the fuel pump kicking in and it wants to start. there was a guy on youtube who had the same car he tried the coil packs camshaft sensor only to find the plug that goes into the computer was broken at the wires.where is that located exactly? the oils kinda watery if it can be fixed i need to but i also dont want to put alot into a car that isnt worth it any advice would be appreciated.
