Won't start

Asked by Adrienne May 18, 2017 at 08:25 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car will not start. It just clicks fast when you try
to turn it over. I had just replaced the fuel pump, it
had died, and then the starter, due to not starting.  I
changed batteries and boosted the battery. It is
still just clicking. Please help

your car is getting old and things will be failing now- is it a new battery? may be the starter- and don't be loose and fancy free with those jumper cables- they are dangerous- find a mechanic to work on it- he can tell you everything that looks bad-

New starter. Not a new battery but took the battery from a running car and nothing but clicks.
