Battery Light on

Battery light is on display on dashboard but car is
running fine, what could that be?

don't let a new alt. charge a low batt. you may ruin it , that's why things are tested , the alt. is probably on it's way out and it still runs because the batt. is strong . but they work together , batts. don't like to go low and alts. don't like charging crappy batts.

I went to auto zone the charge my battery but as soon as I turn it on back to the battery light turn on I try turning my head lights but kept it really dim what does that mean?
