Camry turns over but won't start.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car won't start. I drove it all day then parked it over night. Go out the next
morning and it turns over easily but doesn't start. Its a 2003 Toyota Camry 4
liter. I was told this sounds like a distributor cap going out but then I was told
that this car doesn't have a distributor cap. Any ideas?

If the engine Cranks over well but does not FIRE UP....start...we would start the diagnosis with a scan tool...a spark tester....and a noid light in place to check for Codes stored in computers...ignition spark at the SP....and computer injection pulses at the fuel injectors. If we confirm injector pulses...and spark...we we then install a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel delivery. Having explained what the pro's would do...what can YOU do to get your vehicle running again? Well... not much. You need to get her to the repair shop for a diagnosis. However..you might consider trying this. Get under the rear of the vehicle and smack the bottom of the gas tank with th palm of your hand a few times. Assuming you are not out of gas...you might nudge a failing fuel pump into working again. If you find the engine fires up...uura...you just diagnosed a bad fp. BTW?..how much gas is in the gas tank?

2009 Camry with a 2.4L vvti No start cranks fine. I have spark, 40psi fuel pressure and injector pulse. I spray starting fluid into the intake and it runs fine, stop spraying it slowly dies. I pulled the fuel injector rail to verify injectors are spraying and not clogged, I have good spray patterns. I placed my finger over the hole the injector goes into expecting vacuum to pull the fuel into the cylinder, I have no vacuum on any of the 4 fuel injector ports in the head. I’m stumped.
