Every 1000 miles i add a half quart and the oil was always changed at 3000 mi. is there a reall ?

Is there a recall for a 2003 vehicle that uses oil? Are you serious?

A half quart every thousand miles is not bad at all for what is probably a high mile car. Buy a new one if you want really bad oil consumption!
