My C200 1996 Mercedies remote-key isn't locking the car, I recently replaced they
batteries in the remote.. Can anyone help me?

It may not be the remote but the vacuum pump or line that goes to the doors. Does your remote release the trunk? If it can that's a good sign it's not the electronics.

The remote does nothing, nothing at all, I had an auto electrician out and we couldn't find the vacuum pump! We checked under the backseat and in the boot and under the bonnet, do you know where the pump might be? I have used a phones camera to see if the remote was sending a signal and again, nothing. It might be the key itself... Any other ideas? Thanks for the reply.
