Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Prior to friend working on it, my entire
panel went out. No gas, odometer, no
speed nothing. Also, about 2 weeks
ago my son dropped a penny in
cigarette lighter and shorted that out
so friend pulled that fuse out. Then
my brake lights went out. Replaced
that blown fuse. Brakes worked and
fuse blown again. PLEASE HELP ME!
Still wont start. Could the antitheft be
triggered? Or smoke be fried wire? My
9 year old ASD don starts school in 1
week and I dont have a thousand
dollars to fix it. Trying to do it myself.

I would chang it back to the stock ignition and go from there, and start testing all the fuses. There should be three fuse blocks on ein the trunk, the dash, and under the hood.
