Why is my ignition intermittent only in the mornings?

My ignition is intermittent in the mornings only,
the key won't turn first of all and the steering lock
locks and unlocks several times until it stops by
itself then the key either starts the car or totally
fails to start the car. However the car starts well in
the afternoon actually on first attempt it only
disturbs in the morning not any other time of the
day. Pliz help
