what is wrong when i put it in drive and mashing the gas pedal and it want move it just stall for a second then finally it will move but with a little jerk! but it doesn't do it all the time?

My car stalls when I press on the gas pedal and want move but finally after I shift it to neutral and back to drive it will move but with a slightly jerk! it will do the same thing when going into reverse also! This doesn't happen all the time though? What could be possible be going on?

Check all your sensors. Check for any Engine Lights. Maybe it is a transmission problem. Maybe the Transmission Module is going bad. I would check your fluid levels and see how clean they are. Maybe it isn't enough fuel either so I would look into a fuel filter, but first I would do a Fuel Pressure Test.

Thanks so much! The check engine Light is on also...do you suggest I have a diagnostic test done?
