What would cause the top not to go down?

The latch releases and the boot raises, but the top won't fold and go into the boot.

I had the same issue and the relay had to be manually reset. The guy whom did mine took out my back seat to get to the relay. It has worked fine since he did that.

I took mine to the dealership. I told them my problem on the phone so they scheduled me for an appt. They gave me loaner car. That evening at 4PM they called to tell me after a thorough service looking for the problem someone figured out the reason it would not go down is because the REAR HEADRESTS WERE NOT ALL THE WAY DOWN!! Who Knew??? It obviously was not apparent to most of them. I had looked online before I contacted them hoping I could trouble shoot before I drove an hour to the dealer. This VALUABLE information was not on any websites I checked. So, do this 1st !! Your welcome.....
