the steering whell is locked on my 2001 clk 320 and the key won't turn in the ignition.

Is it the keyless one ?? If so does the car open and lock with it ?????

Assuming it's happening with both keys it's probably the EIS (ignition switch). However, check the fuses first. The one for the EIS are in the box under the hood near the back driver's side.

is there any fuse for it. i have the same problem. it opens the doors by remote, but when you place the key in the ignition, it does not turn clokwise.

I had same problem clk 200 01 steerin was free when key out and nothing happened when key was put in my fix was to leave key in and slap it as to drive s nail next it made the sound it had registered job done probably dirt
